Noted filmmaker Sudhir Mishra is ready to treat the audiences with the second season of Tanaav along with director E Niwas. Tanaav 2 will mark the return of Manav Vij and Rajat Kapoor as their respective characters Kabir Farooqui and Jagjit Malik. Ahead of the web show's release, OTTplay exclusively interviewed senior filmmaker Sudhir Mishra, who spoke about his experience of shooting the series in Kashmir.
Sudhir Mishra: "Kashmir has the warmest people on Earth"
When asked if he faced any challenges shooting in real-life locations in Kashmir for Tanaav 2, Sudhir Mishra told OTTplay, "I think Kashmir is one of the warmest places on Earth. It has the most warmest people on Earth. There's no challenge. Every challenge, otherwise, gets mitigated because you are in Kashmir."
The veteran filmmaker added, "Ye tanaav vo tanaav aur pareshani... (gets mitigated) because you are in Kashmir — the mountains, the rivers, and the hawa, it just relaxes you. I could live for months in Kashmir."

Continuing this conversation, Sudhir Mishra said Tanaav 2 is an extension of season one. "I really like the interrelation; it is what fascinates me in season two. The relationship between Dr Farah, Kabir, and Junaid. It is new and fascinating. It's worthy of a great play," he stated. The senior filmmaker further mentioned what he added to Tanaav 2 as a director.
"What I would bring to this show is treating the women in a certain way, so it balances both sides. The so-called bad guys are not coming out of nowhere. There is basis and complexity there. It's not that there is gray between the good guys and the bad guys. But within the good guys and the bad guys, there are also grays," he said, on a concluding note.
