Ravi Teja interview | For the first time in my career, I loved myself so much in Eagle, says Mass Maharaja

Eagle is all set to hit the screens on February 9, 2024. On this occasion, star hero Ravi Teja speaks about his role, why he chose a young director in Karthik Ghattamaneni, his strength as an actor, and highlights of the action drama. Here is the transcript.

Reason for working with director Karthik Ghattamaneni?

Not many know but Karthik has worked as a DOP for two of my films, Disco and Dhamaka. During the making of Dhamaka, he narrated to me the script of Eagle, and the way he executed a few episodes, drew my attention. Though the film is commercial, the way he has given a unique and Hatke spin to it made me say yes to Eagle right away.

Eagle has terrific sound design, tell us more about it?

A new music director Davzand has composed the music for this film. Though he is new in the industry, he has shocked me with his background score. The way he has elevated the action sequences speaks volumes about his talent. He will go a long way in his career and is the one to watch out for.

About working on back-to-back projects with People Media Factory?

I have formed a special connection with the banner. The producers, Vivek and Vishwa are like me in real life. They speak what is in their heart and are always grounded. People Media Factory has become like a home banner and I will continue to work with them in the future as well. With Eagle, they will surely score yet another hit.

For every two films, you attempt a unique film like Eagle, why is that so?

I am tired of doing back-to-back commercial films and that is the reason, I am trying something different. Though I fail sometimes, I will not keep experimenting. Everyone thinks Eagle is a very unique film but it is not. It is a proper commercial film with loads of fun and action. The regular mass songs and comedy have been avoided in this film.

Tell us about the stylized action in Eagle?

Eagle has terrific action episodes. I have never looked that stylish in any of my films to date. The credit should go to Karthik for showcasing me in such a nice manner. The action episodes have been composed in such a way that they will impress you big time. Post the film, the action in the film will be spoken about a lot.

Working with the likes of young actors like Navdeep and Kavya Thapar?

Navdeep is a super-talented actor who is yet to get his due. He has done a crazy role in my film and will shock one and all. Not only Navdeep but the heroine Kavya, and other supporting cast have done a spectacular job in the film.

Finally, how impressed you are with the film's outcome?

I am super satisfied with the film and I am sure that the audience will also connect with the film and its emotions. Karthik has executed the script in such a way that it has something for everyone. When I watched the film with proper RR, and background score, I loved the film even more. The interval fight, pre-climax scenes, and my new avatar are the basic highlights of Eagle.
