Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is the upcoming Telugu comedy that is up for release on August 23, 2024. Ever since the fun trailer was released, the buzz for this film has gone to the next level. Seasonal actor, Rao Ramesh plays the main lead in this film and Ankit Koyya will be seen as his son.
Ramya Pasupuleti, the happening social media sensation in Telugu is playing the female lead in this film. Speaking about bagging the offer, Ramya states that the director Lakshman Karya watched all her reels and snaps on social media and called her for an audition.
"My friends used to tease me asking who was going to watch those silly reels. But I can proudly say that my reels reached the director and I got roped in for Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam. What else can I ask for," says Ramya. The young actress is now new to films and has done many movies as a child artist.
"I took a break from films as I had to complete my graduation. Once I did that, I decided to pursue a career in acting. But things were not that easy and no one noticed me. So, I started working on my social media profile and created a name for myself. Luckily, my talent got noticed and here I am promoting the film," says Ramya.
When asked about her character in the film, Ramya says that she is a fun-loving girl who loves movies and dreams of getting married to a big family of film stars. "The story, characters, and narration are hilarious, and in such a lineup, my character brings even more craziness to the proceedings, says Ramya.
The chemistry between Ramya and Ankit Koyya looks cool and speaking about the same, Ramya says "Our chemistry has come out quite well in the film. There is a small love-hate kind of scenario between us which has come out quite well on screen.
Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam is about a middle-class father whose account gets accidentally credited Rs 80,000 and how the character of Rao Ramesh and his son played by Ankit Koyya go bonkers is the film's basic story.
"There is hilarious comedy and Rao Ramesh sir has killed it with his crazy performance. I am sure all those who will come to the theaters will not be disappointed. There is plenty of entertainment in Maruthi Nagar Subramanyam and I confidently vouch for it," says Ramya in an excited voice.
