Rakshak 2's Barun Sobti - Action is visibly very pleasing to the eye but... | Exclusive

Barun Sobti and Surbhi Chandna collaborated for the first time on-screen for the web show, Rakshak - India's Braves: Chapter 2. The show, which premiered on February 22 portrays the selflessness and bravery of our country's heroes. Recently, in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay, actor Barun revealed the shooting details and how hard was it for him to shoot the action sequences. 

When asked if it was physically and mentally challenging for him as the show portrays multiple action sequences, Barun Sobti said, "Everyone was really kicked about it. We were far more than excited. But I don’t know about anybody else but I run out of steam sometimes then I start working on the other aspects of the body and workout."

"With action, it’s something that it’s visibly very pleasing to the eye but that feeling where I was doing all those things like climbing down the mountain or climbing up a pipe, it was excruciatingly hard. And when it’s not done in the first take, of course, they want to do it with some different aspect, it was very consuming. I was out of breath, and then I had to do it again. It was tough but it was great fun," he added.

Further, when asked if it takes time for him to come out of a character and get back to normal life or if he is a switch-on and switch-off actor, Sobti said, "I’ve been told that I’m a switch-on switch-off actor, and I’ve been told that I do that with ease. But I don’t start to think that, the last thing I want everyone is to categorize me into some box."

For the uninitiated, Rakshak - India's Braves Chapter 2 marks the first on-screen collaboration of Barun Sobti and Surbhi Chandna. It also matks the OTT debut for the actress. Barun portrays the role of Junior Commissioned Officer Naib Subedar Sombir Singh in the show and has been appreciated for the portrayal of his character on screen. The show is currently streaming on Amazon miniTV.
