Actor Karan Wahi was recently seen in the legal drama Raisinghani Vs. Raisinghani, where he was seen playing an aspirational lawyer, Virat Chaudhary. In this show, the actor is also seen reuniting with his Dill Mill Gayye co-star Jennifer Winget, which excited the fans more about the show.
Recently, the actor got into an exclusive conversation with OTTplay where he talked about his experience playing a character he has never played before, reuniting with Jennifer, social media critics, and more.
When asked beyond the legal drama, what he hopes audiences take away from "Raisinghania Vs Raisinghania" on a deeper level, he said, "I think it's just not the legal drama, there is so much more to the show. When we have to tell the media what is the show about, we obviously use words like 'legal drama' but any show that comes will not have like one thing centered plot and nothing else."
"The show has a lot of things, starting from the fact that Jenny (Jennifer Winget) and I are coming back together so I think that's one of the top things that people can look forward to. I feel when they talk about chemistry, I think chemistry is just way more than romance. Chemistry is just the way they are when they are on the screen together. So I think that's a very big thing for us as well as the audience because we have come back after so long. It's a different world altogether, it's a different era, it's a different funda of content so as complacent as people think we can get that 'oh they are coming together and we love them', I think it's even doubly difficult for us as there's so much expectation and as everyone has become a critic, there is so much pressure," he added.
Speaking further about receiving a mix of both, love and hate on social media Wahi said, "You get some random negative messages and you get some love also but at the end of the day it's important for us to give our best. For ourselves and for the audience who wants to see us together."
Speaking about the toxic relationship that is shown in the show between Karan and Jennifer's characters, the Dill Mill Gayye actor said, "I feel the interpersonal relationships that are shown in the show are very close to reality. At least in the number of shows that I have done in recent times, I think this is one of the few shows which will make you think 'aise kyu kar diya', 'aise kyu bol diya,' but when you really sit and think about it, we are talking about the real space that people are in, we are talking about situationships, we are talking about anything and everything happening around us in today's time."
