Naveen Kasturia admitted that he hadn't watched Huma Qureshi's series Mithya until he read the second season's script. The actor is a part of Mithya - The Darker Chapter.

Naveen Kasturia recently joined the world of Mithya with its second season, Mithya - The Darker Chapter. In the second season of Huma Qureshi's series, Naveen essayed the character of Amit Chaudhary. He presses plagiarism allegations against Huma's character Juhi Adhikari in the show. Amid Mithya 2's digital release, OTTplay interviewed Naveen, who admitted he hadn't watched Mithya's first season until he read the second season's script.

In an exclusive interview with us, Naveen Kasturia revealed what attracted him to doing Mithya - The Darker Chapter. When asked about his reaction to Mithya season one, Naveen told OTTplay, "I actually saw the first season after reading the script of the second season. I had not seen it but heard a lot about it. I don't remember my first reaction... but I had a word with the casting director of the show. She only called me and said that I was being considered for the part (in season two)."
Kasturia further recalled hearing five lines by the casting director which made him say yes to doing Mithya - The Darker Chapter. "She gave me a brief of season two. I had seen the trailer and had an idea that this is (a story) about Juhi and Rhea. When she narrated to me the synopsis of the second season and how my character Amit is contributing to the story, I said I wanted to do it. I was very happy with the script as well," he added.

Directed by Kapil Sharma, Mithya: The Darker Chapter stars Huma Qureshi as Juhi Adhikari and Avantika Dassani as Rhea Rajguru. The actresses are joined by Naveen Kasturia in the second season.
