After Gyaarah Gyaarah's success, Kritika Kamra is looking forward to the OTT releases of her web shows - Matka King and For Your Eyes Only. The actress will be seen sharing screen space with Vijay Varma in Amazon Prime Video's Matka King. The series was announced earlier this year and it went on floors later. Now, in an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Kritika has shared her experience working with Vijay on the show.
During a conversation with us, Kritika Kamra expressed excitement about Matka King's release. The actress said, "Because that's when we'll also get to see what is it that we've been working. While filming, we don't shoot linear. Sometimes you shoot aage ke and sometimes peeche ka. So we're also just waiting to see how it all takes shape. But it's been a wonderful process."
About working with Vijay Varma, Kritika revealed that she admires him as an actor. The actress admitted she enjoyed watching Vijay on screen even before meeting him in person. "I've watched pretty much everything he's been in. And he's really good. He is versatile. He is a very fine actor. I feel like there is nothing that he can't do. So to work with somebody like that is always a pleasure. It is because you enjoy the scenes and you enjoy the improvisation and working on a scene together. You also get to learn a lot as a co-actor," she shared.
Kritika mentioned that she has learned everything on the job as she is not from film school. "So for me, this is the way that I improve myself. I'm constantly looking for opportunities where I get to work with good actors," the actress added.
Created and directed by Nagraj Manjule, Matka King has been backed by Roy Kapur Films, Aatpat, and SMR Productions. The series revolves around the story of 'an enterprising cotton trader in Mumbai who starts a new gambling game called Matka'.
