Mahima Chaudhry reacts to reuniting with Suniel Shetty in Ibrahim Ali Khan & Khushi Kapoor's Naadaniyaan: 'After Dhadkan, we are...' | Exclusive

Mahima Chaudhry recently returned to movies with The Signature, a direct-to-OTT release on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium. The actress played the role of Ambika and shared screen space with Anupam Kher in the film. After The Signature, Mahima has two exciting projects lined up. One is Emergency and another is Naadaniyaan. In an interview with OTTplay, the actress opened up about her reunion with Suniel Shetty in Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor-starrer.

Mahima Chaudhry talks about doing Naadaniyaan

Speaking exclusively with us, Mahima revealed how she got a few acting offers after doing The Signature. The actress was called to be a part of Emergency and Naadaniyaan. "Karan Johar's production called me. I just finished their shoot with Suniel Shetty, my dearest friend. After Dhadkan, we are so excited (to be back). They have Ibrahim Ali Khan and Khushi Kapoor in it. It is called Naadaniyaan," she said.

The actress further mentioned, "It is directed by a woman director, and written by a woman. 50% of the crew was women. It was so exciting, nice, thrilling, and liberating to be a part of a production like that. I felt it was good. The large production was very thrilling for me a woman."

For the uninitiated, Naadaniyaan is being helmed by Shauna Gautam. The filmmaker had earlier posted snaps from the last day of the Naadaniyaan's shoot on social media. While sharing the photos, Shauna captioned her Instagram post: "12 years, and in-numerous dreams later : ITS A WRAP on my “first movie” - whaaaaa! All i can be is grateful! (sic)."

Meanwhile, Mahima Chaudhry will soon be seen in Kangana Ranaut's Emergency. The film was scheduled to be released in September. However, it got delayed. The latest update is that Emergency has received a certification and a new release date will be announced soon.
