Every scene undergoes meticulous examination and adjustments when Aamir Khan is involved in film production. Therefore, it's not surprising that Aamir Khan, the actor-filmmaker, has proposed some changes to his upcoming project, Lahore 1947, under Sunny Deol's direction. The veteran actor-filmmaker reportedly plans to return to the set of Rajkumar Santoshi's historical drama, Jaat, after finishing filming.
An insider told Mid Day that Aamir felt that some scenes in the first cut of Lahore 1947 could benefit from more dramatic storytelling. After he told Santoshi about his idea, they both agreed to add more shots to make the plot more visually intense.
Lahore 1947, which also stars Preity G. Zinta, explores the emotional and physical journey of individuals trapped in the upheaval of the Partition. With such a pivotal plot point in mind, Deol had little trouble coordinating his calendar with the patch shoot, set to begin in the middle of December.
Meanwhile, reports from August 2024 stated that Lahore 1947 had wrapped after a rigorous 70 days of filming. The source revealed that there were no breaks in the schedule. It has been a joy to see the film's enduring performers infuse it with a mystical quality. Although there will be some minor edits once the cut is finalized, most of the filming has already been completed. The intricate crowd moments in particular have Santoshi very excited.
The incorporation of a song will enhance the grandeur of the narrative, according to a team member. Mehboob Studios will begin building a set for this purpose on December 1. The crew is planning to film the song and a few extra shots to enhance key sequences over the course of 10 to 15 days. Deol will wrap up the patch shoot before heading to Kashmir to film Border 2.
