The trailer of Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar recently dropped online. Starring Sharib Hashmi in the lead role, the series is a mystery thriller that revolves around the story of a man suffering from paranoia. He is on the hunt to find his wife Meera (Anupriya Goenka). After the trailer dropped, OTTplay interviewed director Prabal Baruah, who helmed the series set to release on ZEE5. In conversation with us, Prabal revealed why he considered Sharib for the lead role.

While interacting with us, Prabal Baruah opened up about his upcoming series Khoj - Parchaiyon Ke Uss Paar. Revealing why Sharib Hashmi was cast in the lead role, Prabal said, "I am a fan of his role in The Family Man and the chemistry that he struck on the very first day (of Khoj's shoot). I mean, he is an actor."
On being asked about the scenes that were challenging for him to shoot, the director added, "It is a suspense drama. So, technically, there were no complicated scenes. There are a lot of things that are written in the lines. Especially Ved's character. His character and even Anupriya's character, are very layered. So, they are not what it appears to be."
Prabal mentioned that as a maker, he has to keep several things in mind when he is filming such scenes. "How the audience is perceiving the scenes and what is the reality. Because it is also kind of a psychological thriller game. So, what the audience is seeing is different and what is happening in reality is different. But (it is also), how I'm seeing (it), is different," he shared.
The director mentioned that there are many such layered scenes in the ZEE5 series. According to him, the scenes were challenging in terms of performance and storytelling.
