Guns & Gulaabs actor Adarsh Gourav remembers Satish Kaushik: Off camera, we will always be talking about life | Exclusive

One of the most delightful castings in Guns & Gulaabs is that of Satish Kaushik as the kingpin of Gulaabganj. The Netflix series is among his final performances onscreen and is being released posthumously five months after his untimely demise. In the series, the late actor plays the role of Adarsh Gourav's onscreen father. Although we have to wait and watch to know the dynamics between the two actors onscreen, Adarsh spoke fondly about Satish to OTTplay in an exclusive interview.

Talking about his experience working with the veteran actor, the White Tiger actor stated, "It was really beautiful. Satish Sir plays my father in this. and off camera, we will always be talking about life. I would ask him a lot of questions about his journey. I would ask him a lot of questions about how Mumbai was when he came in the 1970s. He would tell me stories about Yari Road from 50 years ago and how it used to look, stories about films that he was part of, stories of actors, and stories of himself."

Furthermore, Adarsh was all praise for Satish, saying, "He was just a very jolly man who just wanted to have fun. He always had stories to tell, and he was always curious about things. He would always ask me what I was watching, what shows I was watching, and if I had any recommendations for him. I think the reason we respect him and why he was so relevant is because of his innate curiosity about things and stories about individuals. It's still unbelievable that he's not around. I really wish that we could have seen the show together."

The young actor went on to say, "He's not just an actor; he was a filmmaker and producer. He did so much; he was just an incredible human. And I just feel that we're also lucky that we got the chance to spend time with him."
