Acting is not an easy job, and the hardship that goes into creating movies and shows is a testament to the dedication of actors. There are incidents where actors narrate the challenges of filming some of the most intense scenes of their careers, justifying the bruises they flaunt with pride. This morning, Priyanka Chopra Jonas revealed that she got injured on the sets of The Bluff. Similarly, back in India, shows and films are being shot at a rapid pace. One release this month is Gunaah, which stars Surbhi Jyoti, Zayn Ibad Khan, and Gashmeer Mahajani. When OTTplay sat down for a chat with the former two, Zayn opened up about a specific day on the sets of the Disney+ Hotstar show that was too difficult and ended up with him puking everywhere.

Zayn Ibad Khan Recalls A Testing Day On Gunaah Sets

Gunaah, a revenge drama, premiered on Disney+ Hotstar on June 3 and airs daily. The show has managed to find an audience because of the three massive television stars coming together. Khan, who has a decent resume, calls himself a jumpy person who cannot stay put. In an exclusive chat with us, he recalls the toughest day on the sets of Gunaah, which also happened to be the second last day of shooting for the show. He had to do a physically draining scene followed by another shoot and did not calculate what was about to come.

Recalling the toughest day, Gunaah star Zayn Ibad Khan said, “It was on the second last day of my schedule. We were shooting in scorching heat, and emotionally, I have never had any problems because I think I connect well with them. Having said that, I am a very energetic person; I am a jumpy person. I could not stay in one place, so I was asked to play football for a montage scene with my younger brother. I went overboard and started playing like a maniac. After 10 minutes, I was exhausted, drenched, dehydrated, and I was puking all over the place, and I still had to shoot again.”

Talking about how he had another shoot scheduled after finishing work on the Gunaah set, Zayn Ibad Khan added, “Gunaah initially started with a different look for me, and now that he has been through a lot, he has grown a beard and has a different body language altogether. While on that, I was also shooting for another show, which is why I had to use a prosthetic beard for a bit in Gunaah for a couple of scenes. Wearing that thing and performing the scene in the sun was so irritating, especially when you are not well and have to hop onto another set to shoot.” And did you go for the second shoot? “Yeah, obviously. I had no other option.”

Surbhi Jyoti Added…

Surbhi Jyoti also spoke about her tough day on the sets of Gunaah, saying, “For me, I don't get tired by doing a scene; I always get tired when it's hot and I have to pretend it's not. If it's raining, we have to pretend that it's raining. But imagine when it's raining and you have to pretend like it is not, it's difficult. For me as an actor, that is very challenging. In the sun, it feels like your whole energy gets drained, you are melting, your makeup is just melting, and you cannot look like you are tired. Around the same day we were shooting, those couple of days were bad; there was a heat wave in Mumbai. We were shooting in real locations.”
