Will Mika Singh get a Bengali bride? Or will he choose one of the Punjabi contenders? The speculations over Swayamvar - Mika Di Vohti are in full swing as Bengali girl Prantika Das, Mika’s long-term friend Akanksha Puri and acquaintance Neet Mahal are all set to tie the knot with the singer if they win the contest. The final episode will be aired on July 24. Before that Kolkata girl Prantika, who has recently worked in Kishmish with Dev, opens up about her love for Mika Singh.
Model-actress Prantika is confident that she shares the strongest chemistry with Mika. “I am the only Bengali girl in the top three. The rest two are Punjabis. My cultural difference with Mikaji is my strength. He likes Bengali girls. He is inquisitive about our culture,” said the contestant.
Prantika and Mika got to know each other during the show while Akanksha Puri has been a friend of the singer and Neet Mahal worked with him earlier. Could that be a challenge for Prantika? She says, “No chance. If something had to happen between Mikaji and Akanksha or Mikaji and Neet, it could have happened before. If there was any chemistry between them, their love would have bloomed. Why did they wait till the contest to express their love? They are opportunists. They have taken advantage of Mikaji’s image for their benefit. Meanwhile, my chemistry with Mikaji is spotless. He confesses that the bond that he and I developed will stay forever. I am my competition.”
In the cooking round, Prantika made chicken sauteed in barbecue sauce for Mika and called in ‘Chikka’ for Mika. She is willing to introduce him to an elaborate Bengali cuisine, as well as their culture. She believes that she has already won the battle of love. “I won it already because Mikaji said that our chemistry is forever,” she said.
How does she plan to take things forward if she wins the competition? Prantika says that she will embark on a journey of being the ‘vohti’ of Mika. “So far, this was a journey to select Mika’s vohti. If I win, we will embark on a journey to become his vohti. We will try and get to know each other more before we tie the knot. It is like a matrimonial site. You shortlist and select your partner and then try to know each other. Before participating in the show, I sought permission from my mother because she is my best friend, and with her permission and blessing, I will take it forward if I win,” she says.
