Exclusive! Chattriwali actor Prachee Shah: If you want to watch a larger-than-life movie like Pathaan, you can never wait for it to come to the OTT

One of the most well-known actors in teletown, Prachee Shah Pandya has demonstrated her exceptional acting talents in numerous television shows. The actor has also played a prominent role in a number of films over her career, making her one of the most accomplished actors on screen. 

Following the recent release of her movie Chhatriwali, the actress got candid with OTTplay about her character in the movie, how sex should be discussed in the home, When asked if the kinds of roles she wants to play in the future, and much more.

I completely related to the character because my character in the film is someone whom we have seen in our families, be it a relative or mom or anyone. I think this is a really important topic to discuss and I was more than happy to play this part and more than that I am so glad that this part reached out to me. So it was a wonderful feeling to portray something like this."

When asked if Chhatriwali will become an inspiration for the women to now build the courage to communicate what they find safe, pleasurable and respectful, the actress said, "I hope so. I hope they watch this film with the family rather than watching alone. We are influenced with the things we watch on screens so I really hope that it triggers the audience somewhere."

Further, while talking about OTT platforms becoming the comfort space for audience watching content, the actress said, "People are so caught up in their life that they do not have time to go to the theatre and watch the film. Here, the reach on OTT is so phenomenal because you can just manage to watch the film at your own space. But, larger than life films like Pathaan should definitely come on the big screens and you should watch it on the big screens for the experience. I am a very theatre person. I always look forward to watch a film on the big screen. But films that are realistic, which give you an insight to more of a real life can be watched on OTT."

Prachee further highlighted her excitement for her next projects (however she did't reveal any of those) and how happy she feels when she receives offers for completely different roles.  She concluded by saying that every film seems like a first for her and that she was thrilled to work on projects that allowed her to express herself creatively.
