In Call Me Bae, Lisa Mishra played Harleen Babbar, co-worker to Bella, aka Bae (Ananya Panday). She played one of the crucial roles in exposing the alleged feminist icon Mukul Sawla (Sahil Shroff) for his horrific crimes in the series. In an exclusive conversation with OTTPlay. Lisa opened up about her role and said it was her dream character to play.

Lisa Mishra on most challenging part in shooting Call Me Bae

Speaking to us, Lisa Mishra said, “It was a dream character to play. I got to be somebody that I am inspired by. The most challenging part of shooting was being able to be present with such experienced actors. Everyone has done so many projects especially Ananya and Vir have done many projects. For me, coming to it completely blind and hoping that I did a good job because I have no contact."

She further added that delivering lines, looking antique, and remembering your face has to match your body language and that has to match your tone is a very complicated art as you are executing someone else’s vision.

On the other hand, Lisa added that while acting, you have to make sure that you are doing the writer and the director’s vision justice. "It was very nerve-wracking for me as a first project to go on stage where I was a newcomer and was hoping all day that I did okay," she concluded.

It was incredible working with Bhumi, Ishaan, Zeenat Aman, and others, all these respective names who have done very serious and critically acclaimed projects so I felt like I had to live up to that their ability, and expectations."

Meanwhile, when asked which director she would love to work with in the future, an excited Lisa said that it is definitely Homi Adajania and added that he made her favorite film, Cocktail.
