'Don't overact, subtlety is...' Alizeh Agnihotri reveals Salman Khan's advice ahead of acting debut | Exclusive

Alizeh Agnihotri is gearing up for the release of her first film, Farrey. She is Salman Khan's niece and the daughter of Alvira Khan Agnihotri and Atul Agnihotri. Ahead of her acting debut, OTTplay exclusively interviewed Alizeh and her co-stars of Farrey. In conversation with us, the newcomer revealed her uncle Salman's advice to her.

Alizeh Agnihotri on Salman Khan's advice

In an interview with OTTplay, Alizeh said Salman advised her by making a joke that 'don't overact as subtlety is the best thing'.

"Nobody in my family ever interfered with my career and with what I wanted to do. It was a very organic journey. At big moments, like when I started this film and before that, the advice that I always got was 'just be true to yourself and be real'. The one thing he (Salman Khan) did tell, in terms of acting advice, is he made a joke - 'Don't overact and subtlety is the best thing that you can do'. Obviously, at the time, I knew it was good advice," said Alizeh.

The star kid further mentioned, "But then, even sir's (director Soumendra Padhi) process was very similar. He wanted a very true, realistic side. So then that really helped me a lot. But his blessings were always there, from everyone in my family. No one ever was like 'aise hi karna hai, aise nahi karna hai'. It is a very supportive and very open-minded family."

Salman Khan supports team Farrey

The film had a premiere at IFFI 2023, in Goa, yesterday. Salman was also present at the event with the team of Farrey. In fact, he was the one who launched Farrey's trailer at an event held in Mumbai. The star cast also promoted their film on the superstar-hosted reality show, Bigg Boss 17. 

About Farrey

Farrey has been helmed by Soumendra Padhi. Alizeh plays the role of Niyati in the film, which is set to release on November 24, 2023. 

While Alizeh plays the lead role, the star cast of Farrey also includes Zeyn Shaw as Prateek, Sahil Mehta as Aakash, and Prasanna Bisht as Chhavi.
