Directed by Debbie Rao, Dil Dosti Dilemma stars Anushka Sen, Kush Jotwani, Tanvi Azmi, and Shishir Sharma will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on April 25. The show is based on Andaleeb Wajid's book Asmara's Summer which follows the life of Asmara (Anushka) who is forcefully sent to her grandparents by her parents after she makes a mistake. The show revolves around her making peace with this situation.
Recently, Anushka Sen was in an exclusive conversation with OTTplay where she spoke about how her character is different from the one she is playing on the show and also discussed her real-life relationship with his family.

Anushka said, "I think Asmara and Anushka are very similar. There are so many things that the both of them have in common, like the energy they have, the chirpiness, the positive thing and they are both also very talkative. But I feel those similarities I found while shooting that there were some similarities but also differences. Like the bond that she has with her Nani in the beginning, it’s not like that with me. That’s very very different. I’m very close to my family, I’m a full family person. I love being home, I love meeting my Nana-Nani. I’m immensely close to them and that was difficult also. I used to sometimes feel bad about all the scenes that I have done with Nani."
Further added how it got difficult for her to act rudely with her on-screen nani but then she tried to concentrate on the characters, she said, "It used to make me feel bad but then you also have to understand its character, it’s fiction. And if you see from the bigger perspective, you understand that the journey is what makes it beautiful."
Written by Anuradha Tiwari, Bugs Bhargava Krishna, Manjiri Pupala, and Raghav Dutt, Dil Dosti Dilemma is directed by Debbie Rao. Apart from Anushka, the show also stars Tanvi Azmi and Shishir Sharma as Asmara's grandparents. Kush Jotwani plays her love interest, while Revathi Pillai, Vishakha, and Elisha play her friends.
