Chidiya Udd: Jackie Shroff reveals his most challenging scene - 'To watch a girl...' | Exclusive

Jackie Shroff, one of the finest actors in the Indian film industry, is presently awaiting the release of his new project, Chidiya Udd. The web show, directed by Ravi Jadhav, is based on Aabid Surti's novel Cages. It explores the gritty underworld of Mumbai, filled with crime, power struggles, and survival. The senior actor plays the role of Qadir Khan in the series. In an exclusive interview with OTTplay, Shroff opened up about his most challenging scene in Chidiya Udd.

During a conversation with us, Jackie Shroff spoke about the scenes that were challenging for him in the Amazon MX Player series.

"I recollect two scenes. One is when she's (Bhoomika Meena as Seher) standing in front of me. To watch a girl strip in front of you... it's like you're acting and you're acting like a man who's going to buy something. But in my heart, it was like oh my good lord. As an actress and an artist, it takes a lot to do that and for me to look at it," the 67-year-old said.

The veteran actor further praised Bhoomika for effortlessly pulling off the scene. "She's wonderful. She did it so effortlessly and she must have had the feeling that it was the most uncomfortable or tough (scene) but she made it look so fantastic," he added. 

Talking about the second difficult scene, the veteran actor mentioned, "And the second thing is when there's a little kid that I happened to take along. For what? I have no idea."

In the same conversation, Bhoomika shared her experience working with Jackie Shroff for this web show. She called him the 'warmest person' and said, "This is what I want to learn from him - the warmth and the ease that he has. He's so effortless. This is my first step. He makes you feel so confident like you belong here. I'm just in awe of him."

Meanwhile, Chidiya Udd will stream on Amazon MX Player on January 15, 2024.
