Daaku Maharaaj is one of the biggest hits this Sankranthi 2025 and continues its strong run at the box office. Nandamuri Balakrishna leads the film, with Bobby Deol playing the main antagonist. Interestingly, the Bollywood star was absent from the film's promotions due to his other commitments.
However, Bobby recently took time off to share his thoughts on the movie. Bobby revealed that Daaku Maharaaj was offered to him even before Animal was released. "I loved the script and my role. I never expected such a grand Telugu debut, especially in a Balakrishna film, which is why I immediately agreed," said Bobby Deol.
He added that director Bobby Kolli remarkably portrayed his character, and he is thrilled with the attention he's receiving. "The response to the film has been amazing, and fans keep asking me when the Hindi version will be released. The stylized action in Daaku Maharaaj has impressed my fans," he shared.
Bobby also expressed his admiration for Telugu cinema, saying, "Language is no longer a barrier for me. I would love to work in more Telugu films and am gunning for a massive Tollywood stardom.
He is also doing a film with Pawan Kalyan and says "I am especially excited about my role in Pawan Kalyan's Hari Hara Veera Mallu. I can't wait to see how the audience reacts to my new avatar."
Daaku Maharaaj has crossed Rs 65 crore at the box office, securing its position in the safe zone. Director Bobby Kolli, who previously delivered the blockbuster Waltair Veerayya with Chiranjeevi, has scored another hit. He credits Balakrishna's approval for the film's sensible blend of action and drama, which contributed to its success.
Thaman's music is another major highlight of the film, enhancing its appeal to audiences. Despite facing stiff competition from Sankranthiki Vasthunam, which has already crossed Rs 100 crore, Daaku Maharaaj continues to hold its ground.
For now, Bobby Deol is elated with yet another successful South Indian film in his career. Stay tuned for more updates on Daaku Maharaaj and its box office performance.
