Bollywood actress Bhagyashree's daughter Avantika Dassani made her acting debut in 2022. The actress entered the world of showbiz with Rohan Sippy's web show, Mithya. Avantika essayed the character of Rhea Rajguru in the show. Following the first season's success, Mithya was renewed for a second season. During Mithya: The Darker Chapter's promotions, OTTplay interviewed Avantika. The actress revealed why she chose Mithya as her acting debut project.

In an exclusive conversation with us, Avantika revealed why she decided to make her acting debut with the ZEE5 series Mithya. The actress cited her character Rhea as a major reason to do this web show. "I think Rhea's character is such an interesting character. Especially as an actor, one hopes that they get something to do like this once or twice in their career. I was very excited about the idea that I could do this for my very first show. There are so many nuances and layers to her," she said.
Avantika further spoke about the unpredictable nature of her character. She added, "There was this whole idea that every time she comes on to the screen, she is going to do something — you have no idea what, why, or how. The response I kept getting from people was the fact that 'every time you came, we got scared and we were on the edge of our seats wondering what is she going to do now'."
And that's exactly how Avantika read her character. The actress found it exciting to play such a character for her first project.

Meanwhile, Avantika is currently gearing up for the release of her Mithya: The Darker Chapter. Directed by Kapil Sharma, the second season marks her return as Rhea. She will be seen alongside Huma Qureshi and Naveen Katuria in the series.
