Game Changer is set to release on January 10, 2025. Anjali plays a key role and shares insights about her character, collaborating with Shankar and Ram Charan, upcoming projects, and her long journey in the industry. Here is the transcript.
I am super thrilled and couldn’t ask for more. Having two films releasing in Tamil and Telugu within a week feels like a blessing, even after being in the industry for over a decade. One film is with Ram Charan, and the other is with Vishal, whom I deeply respect. I am eagerly waiting to see how audiences receive them.
I received a call from Dil Raju's office inviting me to be a part of one of their films. To my surprise, it turned out to be a Shankar sir project. When he narrated the story, I was thrilled – my role is integral to the film. Plus, working with Dil Raju’s banner feels like family, and acting alongside Ram Charan is an incredible opportunity.
I play Parvathy, coincidentally my mother's name. When Shankar sir narrated the script, I was amazed by the depth of the character and immediately agreed to the role. Although the promos don’t reveal much, my character is crucial to the plot and plays a significant part in a major twist.
Playing a village belle comes naturally to me. Ram Charan plays a double role, and I portray his wife in the flashback scenes. Shankar sir designed the role with plenty of twists. He encouraged me to perform naturally, without over-preparing. After wrap-ups, he often showed me the rushes and praised my performance, which felt truly special.
He’s a massive star but incredibly grounded. From day one, he made me feel comfortable on set. Ram Charan is calm and dignified, both on and off-screen. He was supportive throughout filming. A few of our scenes are very emotional and are sure to bring tears to the audience's eyes. The chemistry and depth in our track are highlights of the film.
It’s a unique and unforgettable experience. Everything on his sets feels grand, but his strength lies in drama, and I play a significant part in that. Watching Shankar sir’s meticulous preparation and visionary approach was inspiring. Game Changer marks his return to form, and I believe this film will re-establish his dominance.
Absolutely. Working on such an emotionally charged project has broadened my perspective. Sharing screen space with Ram Charan in a key role is a huge milestone. I’ve already started receiving major offers. Films like these allow me to grow as an actress, and I couldn't ask for more.
I have an OTT show set to release in 2025. I’ve also signed two Tamil films and one Telugu project, with details to be announced soon. Right now, my focus is on Game Changer, which I believe will be a major turning point for me.
