Kantara box office collection Day 11: Rs. 100 crores only days away for the Rishab Shetty starrer

Having closed the second weekend on a high, Kantara (Kannada) has maintained a steady run at the box office. The film will soon achieve 'pan-India' status with the Hindi and Telugu dubbed versions scheduled to release soon and one can expect the collections to boost up post that. The Tamil and Malayalam theatrical releases too are around the corner.

As far as the original Kannada version is concerned, trade reports have revealed that Kantara has collected close to Rs. 5.2 crores on Day 11 (October 10). Although these figures reflect a 45% drop compared to Day 10, trade analysts would still reckon that the Rishab Shetty film is going great guns at the box office. Day 12 is likely to be along similar lines and reports estimate a Rs. 4.5 crore day for the makers. This should take the domestic box office collections of Kantara closer to the Rs. 65 crores (net) mark.

The worldwide collections of the film are now inching closer to the whopping Rs. 100 crore mark and the same could be achieved within a matter of a day or two. As of October 10, Kantara had grossed approximately Rs. 70 crores (excluding Day 11 and 12 collections) and it is highly likely that the film hits the Rs. 90 crores mark, at the least, before the Hindi version makes its way out.

Kantara (Hindi) will be releasing in cinema halls on October 14 and Kantara Telugu will be out on October 15. Both films will be out in select areas.

The makers recently took to social media to emphatically announce that Kantara is now the highest-grossing film in the Kannada language in Northern India. Reportedly, the film has already collected over Rs. 1.9 crores outside South India and Mumbai alone has contributed close to Rs. 75 lakhs so far.
