The Golden Globes buzz will continue to stay relevant for the next couple of days because the world will now dissect every single victorious movie. While it is inconsequential to the movies and shows that are already winning, that dissection is quite important for the cinema culture across the globe. As we all are busy looking at cute videos from the night and red carpet, and discovering new movies that were the surprise winners, let’s get your viewing calendar sorted for a few days.
Below is a compilation of movies and shows that made a thud at the Golden Globes 2024 and where you can watch them in India.
Barbie
Cast: Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, Simu Liu
Director: Greta Gerwig
Available On: Jio Cinema
When Greta Gerwig decided to join forces with the now-husband Noah Baumbach (Marriage Story) and give Barbie a contemporary touch by putting forth her opinion about the gaze towards women, she ended up shaping one of the most entertaining and thought-provoking movies of the year. An over billion-dollar box office run and multiple glowing reviews later, the film is now in the award-winning haul.
Oppenheimer
Cast: Cillian Murphy, Emily Blunt, Robert Downey Jr, Matt Damon, and Florence Pugh, among others.
Director: Christopher Nolan

In what turned out to be the biggest Box Office battle of 2023, Oppenheimer clashed with Barbie. The most ambitious Christopher Nolan project, starring Cillian Murphy in the lead, is based on the life of Robert J Oppenheimer. The film follows the building of the first atomic bomb and traces the politics of the time. The film has reigned at the Golden Globes and is estimated to rule all the award galas.
