Hrithik Roshan and Siddharth Anand reunite on the aerial action thriller Fighter, following their success in Bang Bang and War. Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone will appear together in a film for the first time when it opens in theaters on January 25, 2024. Fighter's advance bookings began on Saturday morning, and the movie received positive reviews from pre-sales.

Expectations are very high for this magnum opus. It might turn out to be one of the year's biggest openers. Will it, however, be able to become one of Hrithik's best openers? Let's find out!

Will Fighter break box office records of War and Krrish 3?

Aside from the incredible reception that the teaser, trailer, and songs of Fighter have received, it should be mentioned that the film will greatly benefit from the successful director-actor team of Siddharth and Hrithik Roshan. They have previously collaborated on successful films like War and Bang Bang, so this will help the movie as a whole.

Despite all the excitement around it, the movie was unable to strike its audience with the same energy as War did. It appears that the movie will do well to very well, but not great, based on the advance ticket sales, which are not particularly remarkable but respectable. The movie is hoping for a start of over Rs 28-30 crore, and it could potentially reach Rs 32-33 crore, depending on word-of-mouth following the first few showings.

Fighter is slated for release on January 25, which will work in the favour of the film given the upcoming national holiday on January 26 (Republic Day). Thus, there's a good probability the movie will do better than Bang Bang's first-day gross of Rs 27.54 crore but it seems difficult for the film to cross WAR's first-day collections of Rs 53.35 crore. In that case, it will be Hrithik Roshan's second-highest opening in India's box office history.

Regarding the movie's lifetime total, it might perform incredibly well at the box office if it can break Rs 100 crore at the box office in its opening weekend. However, everything hinges on the day of the movie's debut, as the first two days' earnings will define how long the movie runs. In addition, the movie must continue to do well throughout the week to surpass the lifetime receipts of WAR (Rs 318.01 crore), Krrish 3 (Rs 244.92 crore), and Bang Bang (Rs 181.03 crore), which are Hrithik Roshan's previous records.

Take a look at the top 5 highest-grossing films of Hrithik Roshan:

War - Rs 318.01 cr

Krrish 3 - Rs 244.92 cr

Bang Bang! - Rs 181.03 cr

Super 30 - Rs 146.94 cr

Agneepath - Rs 115.00 cr
