The year 2024 has officially begun, and the past five days have helped us process this information well. So now we can safely say we are ready to see what the year has in store for us. While we cannot guess what is waiting for us in the real world, the stock for the reel world is already full. After what felt like a trying and testing year, the West has multiple big tentpole projects lined up this year. IMDb has released a list of the 10 most anticipated movies, and Dune: Part Two is leading the race, deservingly so.
This year is going to be on pause for both the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the DCU. Both studios are busy shaping their respective universes in a new light and giving them a good and unique direction. This means that the superhero content on the list is not overpowering. Now, as per the list, it has all kinds of content, including a sci-fi epic follow-up, a prequel to one of the best cinematic films ever made in world cinema, and more.

Dune: Part Two

Taking the story ahead, Dune: Part Two will delve deeper into the conflict that was introduced in Dune: Part One. The highlight of Part Two is the fact that we will get to see more of Zendaya and also understand what her story is. It is a revenge drama this time around, and the intrigue around the same has helped the movie be on top.
Joker: Folie à Deux

A dark musical, with Lady Gaga turning Harley Quinn into Joaquin Phoenix’s Joker, is not enough to make this the most anticipated movie. The film that marks Joaquin’s second outing as Joker after winning an Oscar for the first will be one of the first releases in DC’s Elseworlds wing, and it will be interesting to see what trajectory it now follows.
Argylle

It is Henry Cavill’s return to the screen after being shown the door as Superman and quitting The Witcher. The anticipation is to see what the actor has to offer with this new IP that will have him as a spy novelist who gets intrigued by the activities of an underground syndicate and soon decides to investigate.
Beetlejuice 2

When Tim Burton chooses to make Beetlejuice, you have no option but to surrender to his idea, which is filled with eccentric turns and twists. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga

The mystery surrounding the most amazing but mystic Mad Max character is about to be solved. Furiosa is here to show us her roots and what she is looking for. Deadpool 3
