Adah Sharma made her Bollywood debut with Vikram Bhatt's supernatural horror film 1920 in 2008. Ever since its release, the actress has been predominantly working in Hindi movies. Directed by Sudipto Sen, The Kerala Story was released in cinemas on May 5, 2023. The film worked due to positive word-of-mouth and became one of the highest-grossing films of that year. Starring Adah Sharma, Siddhi Idnani, Yogita Bihani and Sonia Balani, the film was about a group of women being forced to convert to Islam. After the film's theatrical success, it dropped on ZEE5 and OTTplay Premium.

Adah Sharma played the role of Inspector Bhavna Reddy in Deven Bhojani's action-thriller Commando 2, which was theatrically released in 2017.
