The track and field meeting will begin on Thursday (August 31) and will see world champions looking to affirm their newfound status and athletes out to prove a point.

Taking the spotlight in the men's javelin throw is India's Neeraj Chopra, recently etching his name in history as the first Indian athlete to secure a gold medal at the World Championships. The reigning Olympic champion is poised to compete against Grenada's former world champions, Anderson Peters, and Jakub Vadlejch.
Meanwhile, Sreeshankar will be hoping to put behind the disappointment of not making the final at the World Championships when he takes the field in Zurich.
Sreeshankar, who finished 3rd in Paris to become only the 2nd Indian to finish on the podium, is at the 3rd spot in the men's long jump standings.
