On Sunday, the former Pakistani cricketer, Danish Kaneria, strongly responded to 'journalist' Arfa Khanum Sherwani, suggesting that she should consider migrating to Pakistan if she had issues with her Indian identity. His tweet came after Arfa Khanum Sherwani had criticized Indian cricket fans for what she perceived as displays of 'majoritarianism' during the ongoing ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023.

In her tweet on Sunday morning, she expressed her concern: "Deplorable behaviour of many cricket fans during World Cup matches, makes me feel embarrassed &ashamed as an Indian. This petty, insecure & majoritarian approach towards sports which was meant to bring people together, is symbolic of India Modi-RSS have created in last one decade."

Danish Kaneria, who is the second Hindu to have played for the Pakistan cricket team, responded to the Senior Editor of 'The Wire' without holding back.

In his tweet, he remarked, "Come to my country Pakistan if you are feeling ashamed to be an Indian. India doesn’t need people like you. I am sure many people in India will be happy to sponsor this trip."

Indian fans have been in the spotlight for their behaviour, particularly after matches against Pakistan and Bangladesh. Videos depicting their interactions with players and fans from other countries have been circulating, drawing attention for the wrong reasons.
