It will showcase the relationship between both countries, on and off the field and feature legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Ravi Ashwin, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Saurav Ganguly, and many others.
When discussing the greatest rivalry in the history of sports, two countries will always be mentioned: India and Pakistan. When the two neighbours face each other, irrespective of the sport, there is always drama, but it intensifies when it comes to cricket — a game both countries adore.
Bringing this rivalry to the screen is Netflix, which has announced their new docu-series called 'The Greatest Rivalry: India vs Pakistan'. It will showcase the relationship between both countries on and off the field and feature legends like Sunil Gavaskar, Virender Sehwag, Shoaib Akhtar, Ravichandran Ashwin, Inzamam-ul-Haq, Sourav Ganguly, Wasim Akram, and many others.
The docu-series is filled with emotions, cricketing action, and humour as it presents two sides of a coin: the competitiveness and unlikely camaraderie shared between the two teams.
The team of 'The Greatest Rivalry - India vs Pakistan' shared, "Rivalries define the intensity and passion behind any sport. And in cricket, there is no greater rivalry than India vs Pakistan. This docu-series delves into the relationship dynamics of this intense engagement and what makes this emotion tick. Sprinkled with lesser-known stories, from on and off the field, the series is meant for the ardent cricket enthusiast and anyone who enjoys the passion of sport."

In terms of cricket, the two teams last played a bilateral series when the Men in Green toured India in December 2012 for three ODIs and two T20Is. Since then, India and Pakistan have only met in major events such as the Asia Cup and the ICC World Cup tournaments.
They will meet again in a few months for the upcoming ICC Men's T20I World Cup, which is scheduled to take place in the West Indies and the United States of America (USA). The Men in Blue find themselves in Group A alongside Pakistan, Canada, Ireland, and tournament co-host, the USA. The arch-rivals are set to face off in a high-voltage fixture in New York on June 9.
