In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024 game, IPL team Gujarat Titans' (GT) Rahul Tewatia played a superb innings for Haryana against Jharkhand, converting his overnight score of 51 into a maiden century. His red-ball maiden century, scoring 144 runs, helped Haryana reach a total of 509/10 in 134.5 overs.

While his century has earned him praise, what has grabbed everyone's attention is the new look he sported while playing his fine innings. Since his photos have gone viral on social media, fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) have been saying he resembles Pakistani cricket legend Javed Miandad.

Some have even remarked that Tewatia looks like a combination of Javed Miandad, Aashish Kapoor, and Manoj Prabhakar. Soon enough, memes began to spread online as Rahul Tewatia and Javed Miandad trended online.

Ranji Trophy - Haryana vs Jharkhand:

On Day 3 of the Ranji game, Haryana won by an innings and 205 runs in Group A. They bowled out Jharkhand for 119 runs in their first innings. After enforcing the follow-on, as Jharkhand trailed by 390 runs, Haryana dismissed them for 185 in their second innings at Keenan Stadium, Jamshedpur.

In addition to Tewatia, Ankit Kumar also scored 109 runs, while H Rana (82) and Sumit Kumar (86) made significant contributions. For Jharkhand, Anukul Roy was the pick of the bowler who took five wickets while Utkarsh Singh took 2.

Coming in to chase, Jharkhand's Kumar Kushagra was the highest scorer in the first innings with 29 runs, while the batters ahead of him and below him all fell like a pack of cards. In their second innings, Utkarsh Singh scored a half-century, while Kumar Suraj contributed 44 runs. However, despite the efforts of Anukul Roy (21) and Shahbaz Nadeem (21), their contributions were not enough to save the side from losing.

Among other games, Jammu and Kashmir won by 19 runs against Puducherry at the Cricket Association Puducherry Siechem Ground, Puducherry, while Services defeated Manipur by an innings and 196 runs at the ADSA Railways Cricket Ground, Vallabh Vidyanagar, Anand.
