Paris Masters 2024: The Paris leg of the ATP Masters 1000 events is currently underway, with defending champion Novak Djokovic and World No.1 Jannik Sinner not playing this edition.
The 2024 tennis calendar is inching closer to an end with the last of the ATP Masters 1000 tournaments underway in Paris. It is the final major tournament on the calendar before the season-ending ATP Finals. World No.1 Jannik Sinner had withdrawn from the tournament citing ill-health, but this will not affect his year-ending ranking.
Also, not in Paris is defending champion Novak Djokovic, who missed out on a career total of 100 titles when he lost to Sinner in Shanghai. Djokovic announced he would not be playing in Paris via a social media message, but did not specify a reason. He had triggered an injury scare, when he appeared to be struggling with his hip and left leg. The tennis great still sports a brace on his right knee that he’s had on since the meniscus operation following the French Open. He is yet to confirm his participation in the ATP finals later this year.
