During the Lanka Premier League (LPL) 2023 match between Galle Titans and Dambulla Aura, an unexpected visitor made its way onto the pitch, causing a momentary halt in play. The game took an amusing turn after a snake invaded the field.

The incident took place during the fifth over of Dambulla's innings which led the umpire to call for a pause while officials attempted to remove the snake from the ground.

While this situation was taking place, Galle Titans' star player Shakib Al Hasan was seen engaging in a conversation with the batter, discussing the unusual turn of events.

Taking a light-hearted approach to the situation, veteran Indian cricketer Dinesh Karthik playfully poked fun at the Bangladesh cricket team.

"The naagin is back. I thought it was in Bangladesh," DK tweeted. This tweet was a reference to the infamous "Naagin dance" celebration by the Bangladesh side which has been criticised by a number of opposing teams.
