ARMY, the dedicated fanbase of BTS, found themselves immersed in a flurry of activity on the morning of November 22. The group and its members dominated discussions across various social media platforms, with events unfolding on distinctly different fronts. In one realm, King Charles made noteworthy mentions of BTS, drawing comparisons to The Beatles. Simultaneously, BigHit Entertainment, the agency behind the K-pop sensation, delivered significant news that added another layer of complexity to the morning. The announcement stated that the remaining four members, namely RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin, are set to commence their mandatory military service in South Korea.

On Tuesday evening, King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted a lavish dinner at the palace in honour of the state visit by South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee to the United Kingdom.

He emphasized how K-pop is influencing the youth and leaving a lasting impression on them. As reported by Sky News, King Charles said "Korea has matched Danny Boyle with Bong Joon-ho, James Bond with Squid Game and the Beatles' Let It Be with BTS's Dynamite”.

He continues “Our cultures share a remarkable ability to captivate imaginations across the world, transforming a so-called soft power into a shared superpower."

While ARMY was overjoyed to hear the UK King praise the boys, the news from BigHit Entertainment brought a complete shift in their mood to a full 360 degrees. In a statement shared by BIGHIT Music, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook have all commenced the process of enlisting in the military.

Currently, three members (Jin, J-Hope, and Suga) are fulfilling their mandatory military service. While many are processing this news, some are pleased that the boys are fulfilling their promise of reuniting as a complete group by 2025.

For those not familiar with the practice, it's a mandatory requirement for all Korean men aged between 18 and 28 to fulfil a 20-month military service. This obligation is a significant part of South Korea's national defence system and aims to ensure that all eligible citizens contribute to the country's defence capabilities.
