IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals has faced serious allegations of match fixing while playing against Lucknow Super Giants.

Cricket fans in Rajasthan were left stunned after Jaideep Bihani, convener of the Rajasthan Cricket Association's (RCA) ad hoc committee, made serious allegations of match-fixing against IPL franchise Rajasthan Royals (RR). His claims come in the wake of RR’s unexpected collapse against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) during a recent match at the Sawai Man Singh Stadium in Jaipur.
At one point in the game, the Royals seemed firmly in control, coasting towards what looked like a certain win. But things took a sharp and baffling turn. A flurry of wickets, poor shot selections, and questionable decisions saw the home team go from a strong position to a shocking defeat — all in a matter of overs. The dramatic collapse sparked whispers and raised eyebrows, both in the stands and across social media.
Speaking to News18 Rajasthan, Bihani didn’t mince words. “The government set up the ad hoc committee to oversee cricket in the state, and we’ve been running everything smoothly—from district tournaments to national competitions. That’s why we’ve been given extensions five times,” he explained.
However, Bihani expressed frustration over how things changed when the IPL rolled around. “As soon as it was time for the IPL, the Sports Council stepped in and took control. Initially, the BCCI had sent the letter to us, the RCA. But then the excuse was made that we didn’t have an MoU with the Sawai Man Singh Stadium. Even if there’s no MoU, aren’t you still paying the Sports Council for each match?” he asked, clearly questioning the transparency of the process.
The Rajasthan Royals have yet to comment on the allegations. Meanwhile, fans are left wondering what’s really going on behind the scenes. Was it just a bad day at the office for RR—or is there more to the story?
With tensions rising and trust shaken, all eyes are now on the RCA, the BCCI, and the Royals to come forward with answers.
