In the new season, the side appears to be one of the most balanced squads, especially with Shreyas Iyer returning as captain after missing last year's IPL due to injury. To make it even more dangerous, they have roped in Gautam Gambhir who took on the new role of mentor with Chandrakant Pandit as the head coach.

KKR's IPL 2024 team composition:

During the mini-auction in 2023, KKR went all guns blazing to acquire Australian pacer Mitchell Starc for a record 24.75 crores. However, he will be leading an inexperienced fast-bowling unit comprising Harshit Rana, Vaibhav Arora, and Chetan Sakaria.

The side does possess a formidable spin quartet in Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Suyash Sharma, Sunil Narine, and Varun Chakaravarthy.

While English players Jason Roy and Gus Atkinson have pulled out of the tournament for various reasons, KKR has brought in another English batter, Phil Salt, as a replacement. Rahmanullah Gurbaz, Nitish Rana, Venkatesh Iyer, Shreyas Iyer, and Salt are expected to form the top order, with hard-hitters Rinku Singh and Andre Russell in the middle.
