LSG captain KL Rahul has led from the front as he even got his half-century in 35 balls against RR in IPL 2024.
While Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) have found themselves in a pickle, losing their top four batters within 10 overs, the only saving grace remaining is that LSG skipper KL Rahul is still at the crease in Match 4 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 clash against Rajasthan Royals (RR). The captain has led from the front as he even got his half-century in 35 balls.
Chasing down the 194 runs posted by RR at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur, LSG had one of the worst starts, losing three wickets in 4 overs. However, with LSG fans praying for the tide to turn, the camera panned towards KL Rahul's wife, Athiya Shetty, who was seen sitting among the crowd and cheering for her husband and team. Fans are surely hoping that lady luck could change the fortunes of their side, and LSG would emerge victorious in their season opener.
Opting to bat first, RR got off to a start, but it was skipper Sanju Samson's unbeaten 82, along with Riyan Parag's 43, that helped post the total on the board. When it came to defending, RR pacer Trent Boult dismissed Quinton de Kock and Devdutt Padikkal, while debutant Nandre Burger sent back Ayush Badoni.

Following that, Rahul tried to stabilize the innings with Deepak Hooda, but the LSG impact sub seemed to be in a hurry as he departed for 26, courtesy of Yuzvendra Chahal.
As of writing this article, Rahul has joined forces with LSG vice-captain Nicholas Pooran and has posted 129 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in 14 overs. Lucknow Super Giants need 65 runs in 36 balls to win the clash.
