SRH would have been all-out, but Harshal Patel inadvertently let the ball go for a SIX at the boundary.
After claiming two wickets in his second over, Punjab Kings (PBKS) pacer Arshdeep Singh struck again in his third over, dismissing two set batters Abdul Samad and Nitish Reddy of the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in Match 23 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 at the Maharaja Yadavindra Singh International Cricket Stadium in Mullanpur, Chandigarh.

Before this, he had removed Travis Head and Aiden Markram in quick succession. In his 4 overs, Arshdeep conceded 29 runs and took 4 wickets.
In the 16.3 over, he dismissed Abdul Samad for 25(12), breaking the partnership. Samad struck the ball well but found the fielder. It was a full delivery outside off, and Samad sliced the lofted shot straight to deep backward point. Harshal Patel moved a few steps to take the catch, providing a much-needed breakthrough for Punjab as Samad had hit 5 fours.

Then, in the 16.5 over, Arshdeep Singh dismissed the well-set Nitish Reddy, who had scored 64 off 37 balls, including 4 fours and 5 sixes. It wasn't a wicket-taking delivery as it was a full toss at a hittable height. Reddy swung his bat for the big shot, miscued it high, and Kagiso Rabada took the catch near long-off.
At the time of writing this article, 20 overs were completed, and despite wickets falling at regular intervals, SRH managed to score 182 runs on the board. They would have been all-out, but Harshal Patel inadvertently let the ball go for a SIX at the boundary. Bowler Sam Curran couldn't believe it, and his expression said it all.
