Team India's semi-final encounter against New Zealand at World Cup 2023 is going to be a star-studded affair with some of the biggest celebrities from India and abroad attending the mega event. Yet again, Mumbai's iconic Wankhede Stadium turns host to this marquee game and the festivities are likely to be amplified by the presence of personalities like Aamir Khan, superstar Rajinikanth, Salman Khan, industrialist Nita Ambani and others in the crowd.

To top this, football legend David Beckham, who is currently in India as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, will also attend the match and is expected to be in the company of fellow sporting superstar, Sachin Tendulkar. What's more exciting, though, is to see the former Manchester United midfielder soaking up the cricket fever, prior to the game, on the streets of India.

David Beckham was spotted playing cricket in Gujarat during his UNICEF visit and a picture of the same has now gone viral on social media. Taking a near-perfect batting stance and surrounded by equally jubilant children, Beckham was caught in an endearing moment as he faced a tennis ball spun at him. The Inter Miami president and co-owner is said to be in India on a three-day tour to advocate for child rights and gender equality.

As far as the semi-final clash is concerned, Rohit Sharma and Co. will expectedly take the field feeling confident about getting past the tenacious New Zealand team, which has been a tad too scratchy thus far in the tournament. But, with skipper Kane Williamson now confirmed as a mainstay, one could definitely expect the Kiwis to put on a resilient show and catch the host off-guard. The Wankhede crowd, though, is certain to back the home team and ensure that the horrors of the 2019 semi-final aren't repeated.

Australia takes on South Africa in the second semifinal on Thursday, November 15, at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
