After the One-off Test and ODI series, India women are all set to face Australia Women in a three-match T20I series.

Commencing this Friday, India is set to face Australia in a three-match women's T20 series in Navi Mumbai. The Women in Blue, who secured the gold medal at the 2023 Asian Games in September, will enter the T20I series following a 3-0 ODI series loss to Australia in Mumbai.

Despite the ODI setback, India previously notched a significant triumph by defeating Australia by eight wickets in the one-off Test match. This victory marked India's inaugural win over the Aussie women in Test cricket.

In terms of the head-to-head record in women's T20Is, Australia holds a dominant position, having won 23 out of 31 matches. India, who has managed to clinch victory in seven matches, and one encounter concluded without a result, will be eyeing victory in this series.

It's worth noting that India's latest success against Australia in the women's T20I format came at DY Patil Stadium in December 2022. The most recent clash between the two teams in the abbreviated format transpired during the semi-final of the ICC Women's T20I World Cup 2023 in Cape Town, South Africa. Despite Harmanpreet Kaur registering a half-century in that game, India faced a defeat by a margin of five runs.
