During the 1st T20I on Friday, the limelight fell on the emerging Indian pace sensation, Titas Sadhu, as she showcased an exceptional performance against a formidable Australian team.

Sadhu played a crucial role in India's victory, dismantling key players like Beth Mooney, Tahlia McGrath, and Ashleigh Gardner during the powerplay. The BCCI Women shared a video on X (formerly known as Twitter) featuring Sadhu and Smriti Mandhana discussing the match, along with the noteworthy moment of the pacer engaging in a video call with former Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami, who praised Sadhu's bowling as "next level."

In the video, Jemimah Rodrigues and Shreyanka Patil were seen requesting a party from Titas Sadhu.

Talking about the party the players were asking for, Sadhu, in the post-match interview, after being honoured with the Player of the Match award shared insights into a unique team tradition.

"This has been a tradition now that whoever wins this award will have to give a party since I have won 3 awards tonight (chuckles). I have 3 due," Sadhu humorously remarked.

Expressing her delight after being sidelined in the Test and ODI series, Sadhu credited her fortune for grabbing two crucial wickets in the second over.

"It has been a long series for me; I am happy to capitalize today. The dew is a big factor here," she added.

As for the clash, during the chase, Indian batswomen Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma exhibited a nearly flawless innings, establishing a commanding 137-run opening partnership. Their stellar performance helped India comfortably achieve the 142-run target with 15 balls to spare at the DY Patil Sports Academy, giving India a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.
