In the 2nd T20I at St George's Park in Gqeberha, he smashed a half-century, contributing to India's score of 180/7 in 19.3 overs before rain interrupted the game.

Rinku Singh and Suryakumar Yadav formed a solid partnership before Yadav departed for 56. Singh remained unbeaten with a score of 68*, featuring 9 fours and 2 sixes. With this, he clinched his maiden half-century.
