Virat Kohli is approaching his 35th birthday, which coincides with the ICC Men's ODI World Cup 2023 clash between India and South Africa at Kolkata's Eden Gardens on November 5. In celebration of this dual event, the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) has exciting plans.

To mark Kohli's birthday, the CAB intends to distribute 70,000 masks featuring the Indian cricket superstar to fans attending the match. Additionally, a special gift and a fireworks display during the innings break are part of the festivities. CAB President Snehasish Ganguly revealed that they have ordered a unique cake for Virat Kohli, the design of which will be closely associated with the iconic cricketer.

Virat Kohli has been in excellent form during the ODI World Cup 2023, notching up a century and three half-centuries in six innings. He stands just one century away from equaling Sachin Tendulkar's record of 49 ODI hundreds.

As for the team, India has maintained a good winning streak having secured victories in all six of their matches thus far. Despite an injury to star all-rounder Hardik Pandya, who is expected to return around the time of the semi-finals, their campaign remains unchallenged.

Captain Rohit Sharma's standout performance was highlighted by his valuable 87 against England in Lucknow. The Indian bowlers, especially the pacers, have excelled, exemplified by their demolition of defending champions England in their recent match.
