This resounding outcome propelled India to the top of the leaderboard at the conclusion of the group stage clashes. On the other hand, Pakistan's hopes of advancing to the semi-finals were dashed, as they faced elimination from the tournament.
Indian captain Harmanpreet Singh emerged as a key contributor, finding the back of the net twice, with both goals originating from penalty corner opportunities.
Adding to the scoring, Jugraj Singh also made his mark by converting another penalty corner chance during the third quarter. Akashdeep Singh further solidified India's dominance, sealing the deal by tapping in a well-placed ball from Mandeep in the final quarter.
Indian captain Harmanpreet spoke after the match and said, "I think we are very happy. We wanted to finish on top. Today we have played well. Defensively we can do more. One-on-one tackles are going to be crucial in the semis".
As for the Pakistani captain, Umar Bhutta after the match said, "We started very nicely. But we were not disciplined in attacking. The team is young. I appreciate the boys. The PC attacks were where India took the game away."
