Now in 152 balls, the young Indian has got his century consisting of 11 fours and 3 maximums - the third SIX was hit to reach the triple-digit mark. Jaiswal launched the ball by Tom Hartley into the stands to get to his hundred with a SIX! He removed his helmet, flapped his arms, and blew a kiss to the heavens.

In the clash, India's skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat first. Three changes were made to the lineup, two of which were enforced due to injuries: Ravindra Jadeja's absence due to a hamstring issue and KL Rahul's struggle with pain in his right quadriceps. Additionally, Mohammed Siraj was rested. Rajat Patidar received his debut cap, while Kuldeep Yadav and Mukesh Kumar were added to the squad.

At the crease, the Indian captain was dismissed for 14 runs off 41 balls by England's debutant Shoaib Bashir. Meanwhile, Shubman Gill, who had a promising start, was also sent back to the pavilion for 34 runs off 46 balls by the experienced James Anderson.
