Following a good start led by skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal while chasing down 192 runs, the Indian team appears to have faltered, losing five wickets in quick succession. Currently, India requires 46 runs for victory but the challenge appears daunting given the control exhibited by England bowlers on Day 4 of the 4th Test at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

The captain got his half-century while Jaiswal contributed 37; however, the batters that followed, Rajat Patidar (0), Ravindra Jadeja (4), and Sarfaraz Khan (0), fell like a pack of cards. Shubman Gill is at the crease with Dhruv Jurel, and the two will be looking to form a partnership. However, is it possible that the Men in Blue could lose this game and draw the series?
As of writing this article, 47 overs have been completed, and India has scored 146 runs and lost five wickets. Currently, Shubman Gill (26) and Dhruv Jurel (19) are at the crease as India needs 59 runs to win, while the Three Lions only need 5 wickets to seal the deal.
On Day 3, England's second innings came to an end after being all out for 145 runs. India displayed great character with the ball as they limited England to a lead of 191 runs. R Ashwin was the standout bowler, securing a fifer, while Kuldeep Yadav followed suit, claiming 4 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja took one.
Earlier, Dhruv Jurel missed his well-deserved century by just 10 runs. The visitors managed to maintain a 46-run lead while Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav's partnership managed to tilt things slightly in India's favour.

Regarding the Three Lions, Shoaib Bashir ended the day with a fifer, while Tom Hartley took three wickets. James Anderson also contributed with two wickets. On Day 2, England added 51 runs before being bowled out for 353.
Standout performances came from Joe Root, who scored a century. Ravindra Jadeja starred for India, claiming four wickets as he dismantled the lower order. Debutant Akash Deep made an impact by removing the top three batters, and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two wickets.
