After Dhruv Jurel, along with Kuldeep Yadav, pulled Team India from the depths of defeat, Day 4 of the 4th Test against England at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi has started on a good note, courtesy of skipper Rohit Sharma and Yashasvi Jaiswal's batting. While they lost young Jaiswal for 37, the Men in Blue still look to be winning this clash.

With Shubman Gill at the crease and the Indian captain reaching his half-century, India as of writing this article needs just 100 runs to win the 4th game and also the series with a 3-1 lead in the five-match series. Currently, after 22 overs were completed, India has scored 93 runs, having lost a wicket.

On Day 3, England's second innings came to an end after being all out for 145 runs. India displayed great character with the ball as they limited England to a lead of 191 runs. R Ashwin was the standout bowler, securing a fifer, while Kuldeep Yadav followed suit, claiming 4 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja took one.

For England, Zak Crawley's 50 played a pivotal role, while Jonny Bairstow also looked brisk. Ben Foakes managed to score 17 runs towards the end, but Ashwin stood tall and dismissed him. Apart from these contributions, no other English batters made any significant contributions to the scoreboard.

Earlier, Dhruv Jurel missed his well-deserved century by just 10 runs, being bowled for 90 by Tom Hartley. England managed to maintain a 46-run lead. Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav's partnership at the end tilted things slightly in India's favour.

Regarding the Three Lions, Shoaib Bashir ended the day with a fifer, while Tom Hartley took three wickets. James Anderson also contributed with two wickets.

On Day 2, England added 51 runs before being bowled out for 353. Standout performances came from Joe Root, who scored a century. Ravindra Jadeja starred for India, claiming four wickets as he dismantled the lower order. Debutant Akash Deep made an impact by removing the top three batters, and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two wickets.
