His latest century, achieved in 122 balls at the Niranjan Shah Cricket Stadium in Rajkot, comprises 9 fours and 5 sixes. Jaiswal's elegant innings have provided India with a commanding lead.

Following the early dismissal of skipper Rohit Sharma for 19, Shubman Gill has displayed resilience against the English side, nearing his half-century. This is especially commendable after his duck in the first innings.

As for Day 3 of the clash, the Men in Blue dismissed the Three Lions for 319 runs, leaving them trailing by 126 runs. At the time of writing this article, India has scored 171 runs and lost just 1 wicket in 41 overs. Jaiswal remains unbeaten on 102*, while Gill has contributed 45* with 4 fours and 1 six.

Earlier in the day, Jasprit Bumrah made a significant impact by claiming the wicket of Joe Root at the start of Day 3, laying the groundwork for the dramatic collapse of the English batting lineup. Despite Ben Duckett's impressive innings of 153, Kuldeep Yadav managed to dismiss him, leaving Ben Stokes as the sole English player to provide resistance with a determined 41 off 89 balls.
