Despite the setback of R Ashwin's withdrawal from the game, Team India displayed a remarkable bowling performance on Day 3, causing the England batting order to collapse. Kuldeep Yadav, who faced the brunt of the opposition's attack on Day 2, showcased a significant improvement in his bowling, while Mohammed Siraj proved to be lethal as dismissed four English batters.

Ravindra Jadeja added to the momentum with two wickets, leading to the visitors being all out for 319 in 71.1 overs. As a result, the Three Lions trail by 126 runs.

Where is R Ashwin?

On Friday evening, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) said that Ravichandran Ashwin had withdrawn from the Indian Test team due to a family medical emergency. The BCCI vice-president Rajiv Shukla had taken to his social media to state that he had flown to Chennai to be with his unwell mother.

However, according to commentator Dinesh Karthik, Ashwin can come back anytime during this match and bowl straightaway as the umpires have given him that favour.
