On Day 2 of the 4th Test in Ranchi, the England side was all-out for 353, courtesy of Ravindra Jadeja taking the final three wickets. However, the batting spree of the Men in Blue also started rocky, as captain Rohit Sharma hardly stayed for nine balls before being dismissed for two runs at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi, much to the disappointment of fans.

James Anderson bowled the second over, pitching the ball and holding its line outside off. Rohit's feet hardly moved as he pushed forward, resulting in a thin edge, and wicketkeeper Ben Foakes did the rest. It was a perfect start for England, who needed to strike with the new ball, and Anderson delivered just that.
Shortly after the wicket fell, fans took to social media, particularly X (formerly known as Twitter), to express their disappointment, with many even trolling the skipper.
In terms of the English batting, they managed to add 51 runs on Day 2 before being bowled out. The highlight revolved around Joe Root and his two partnerships: 113 runs for the 6th wicket with Foakes and 102 runs for the 8th with Ollie Robinson.
The absence of Jasprit Bumrah in the playing XI provided Root a breath of fresh air, as he scored his first ton of this series. At the top, Zak Crawley contributed with 42, Robinson made 58, and Foakes added 47, but they played supporting roles to Root.

Ravindra Jadeja claimed four wickets, dismantling the lower order, while debutant Akash Deep removed the top three batters, and Mohammed Siraj took two wickets. The journey of the Three Lions from 112 for 5 to 353 all-out showed how they managed to make a good comeback.
