On Day 2, R Ashwin faced heavy trolling and criticism from fans online after securing only 1 wicket in the 1st innings and then getting out for just a run in 13 balls against England at the JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.

However, things took a turn on Day 3, after India was bowled out for 307 runs and England held a 46-run lead. India displayed determination and R Ashwin quickly claimed three wickets, dismissing Ben Duckett (15), Ollie Pope (0), and Joe Root (11). This turnaround has led fans to now praise the all-rounder and his ability to take wickets.

As of writing this article, 19 overs have been completed, and England has scored 76 runs, losing three wickets, with Zak Crawley (44) and Jonny Bairstow (6) at the crease. Before lunch, Dhruv Jurel missed his well-deserved century by just 10 runs, being bowled for 90 by Tom Hartley.

England managed to maintain the lead, but the momentum was in India's favour as they reduced the deficit, which could have easily been over 120. Jurel and Kuldeep Yadav's partnership at the end surely tilted things a little towards India.

Ravindra Jadeja was the star for India, claiming four wickets as he dismantled the lower order. Debutant Akash Deep impacted by removing the top three batters, and Mohammed Siraj chipped in with two wickets.
